Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Tara. I’m a triple board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing thoughtful, evidence-based care for adults and mothers navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I earned my nursing degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at Wilkes University. I also hold specialized certifications in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

I have a particular focus on supporting women during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as professionals in high-stress roles—including healthcare workers, first responders, and those recovering from workplace injury.

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in creating a space where you feel comfortable being open and understood. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, your lifestyle, and what matters most to you. Whether you’re seeking support for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, my goal is to help you feel more balanced, supported, and like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I take time to understand each patient’s unique experiences, goals, and challenges so we can develop a treatment plan that feels thoughtful and personalized. When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle strategies, and coordination with other providers to ensure comprehensive care.

I have particular expertise in trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and stress related to demanding careers or workplace injury. I also understand the unique challenges faced by mothers, healthcare professionals, and individuals in high-stress roles, and I strive to provide care that is both practical and supportive.

My goal is to help patients build resilience, regain balance, and feel more confident navigating their mental health.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, we will take time to talk through your concerns, symptoms, medical history, and goals for treatment. This initial evaluation helps me understand the full picture of what you are experiencing so we can create a plan that best supports your wellbeing.

If medication may be helpful, we will discuss options carefully, including benefits, potential side effects, and your preferences. Many patients also benefit from practical coping strategies and ongoing support, which we can incorporate into our visits.

I create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. Together, we will focus on helping you move toward greater stability, clarity, and overall mental wellness.
