Great to meet you!

I work best with clients who are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and everyday stress. Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal clients are looking for a supportive space to process what they are carrying, better understand themselves, and begin healing at a pace that feels right for them. I believe people heal best when they feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach to counseling is grounded in kindness, empathy, consistency, and genuine human connection.

For the past 20 years, I have worked in educational counseling and mental health support with children and adolescents ages 5–18. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside students and families through some of life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. For the last 14 years, I have also practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), helping clients build emotional resilience, confidence, and practical tools for everyday life.

My experience includes working extensively with anxiety, executive functioning challenges, academic stress, goal setting, grief, and trauma. I understand how overwhelming life can feel when emotions, responsibilities, or past experiences begin to weigh heavily. I also know that healing and growth are possible with support, patience, and the right therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

Clients often describe me as caring, organized, understanding, and dependable. I value consistency and believe trust is built by showing up authentically and compassionately at every step. My goal is to help each person feel empowered, supported, and capable of moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Whether your child is struggling emotionally, academically, or socially, or your family simply needs additional support, I am honored to be part of the journey toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

During your first therapy session, you can expect to be welcomed into a safe and supportive environment where you are encouraged to share at your own pace. I will listen with empathy, compassion, and genuine care, taking time to understand your experiences, concerns, and goals. You will be met with unconditional positive regard, meaning you will be respected and valued exactly as you are. The first session is an opportunity to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship, ask questions, and explore how therapy can support your well-being and personal growth. Above all, you can expect to be heard, understood, and cared for throughout the counseling process.
