I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I earned my Master’s Degree with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Iona University. I have an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, impulsivity, low self-esteem, and life transitions.
I use an eclectic approach through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Play Therapy. I aim for a creative atmosphere that allows the client to focus on learning mindfulness based techniques and healthier coping skills. I enjoy collaborating with the client's family to help them reach their goals and facilitate a better understanding of the client’s needs and encourage ways to implement the skills they’ve learned at home, in school, or in the community.
My goal in treatment is to provide a safe and comfortable space to help clients work on being the best possible version of themselves. I focus firstly and most importantly on building rapport through Person-Centered approach that allows the foundation of therapy to be built on a trusting relationship while allowing the client to have autonomy throughout their treatment. I aim for my clients to feel eager to come to me to vent, problem-solve, or to celebrate in their accomplishments!
