Great to meet you!

Your body is connected to your head 100% of the time. My approach to health and wellness is head to toe; your physical and mental health are completely intertwined. After recovering from years of chronic pain, I developed a special interest in working with clients dealing with grief, chronic pain, insomnia, and complicated relationship and work dynamics.

As a licensed professional counselor for 11 years, I am steeped in all kinds of mental wellness training from resolving trauma, to alleviating chronic pain, to managing anger, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

Though not actually the Ice Ages, ice was in abundance in 2004 when I completed my master’s in counseling at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I warmed up by working with lawyers at Tulane Law School and hit my stride running a high-profile office where I managed constituents and events, coached students and alumni, engaged in public speaking, and conducted data analysis.

My approach to therapy

I am like a Waze app for your life. When you work with me you will likely get on your higher life path more efficiently. When you hit the inevitable roadblocks, I help you get unstuck and find alternate routes to your success and story. Together we will realign your life inch by inch until your chartered course becomes your destiny. Similar to how apps get buggy, difficult or traumatic experiences for humans can disrupt our natural healing powers and cause our internal compass to get stuck.

You are the driver and I am a really good navigator with the tools and techniques to get you moving again. A destination requires movement, so I look to disrupt points of stagnation and create a flowing energy like water moving downstream.

What you can expect from me

My empathic energy sets most people at ease and they naturally want to tell me everything; even strangers in grocery stores tell me their woes like I have “empath” stamped on my forehead.

I am an analytical investigator looking for the root causes of your distress so I will be asking you a lot of questions. I will help you gain insight into the feelings, thoughts, decisions, and behaviors that are driving outcomes in your life. Typically you leave feeling empowered as it is always my goal to propel clients to more fruitful paths. I care deeply about everyone because I believe in ‘universal connectedness’ (the energy we radiate into the universe has a ripple effect on each of us). I simply cannot be my best self unless you are also your best self and the fact that you are seeking help means you are motivated to enhance your state of being.
