Great to meet you!

My mission is to provide clients with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and valued. I believe that every person has a unique story, and healing begins when individuals are given the opportunity to express themselves openly and authentically. Through compassionate listening, empathy, and genuine partnership, I strive to help clients navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is comprehensive, collaborative, and evidence based. Treatment begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation that explores emotional, psychological, medical, social, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting mental health. I believe in treating the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms.

I work in partnership with my clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their needs and goals. When medication is appropriate, I provide medication management and education, so my clients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, expected benefits, and potential side effects. Medication is viewed as one component of a broader treatment plan that may also include therapeutic interventions, coping skills development, lifestyle modifications, stress management, and other evidence-based strategies.

I also encourage clients to actively participate in their treatment by practicing new skills, implementing healthy changes, and working toward their personal goals. My focus is on helping clients achieve meaningful symptom improvement, long-term recovery, emotional wellness, and a greater sense of balance and fulfillment in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Your initial appointment is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your mental health concerns, personal experiences, medical history, and treatment goals. This first session serves as the foundation for developing an individualized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

During the appointment, we will discuss the concerns that brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, when symptoms began, factors that may contribute to them, and how these symptoms are affecting your overall well-being.

A thorough assessment will include the history of present concern, including any previous mental health treatment or medications you have received. a review of your medical history, psychiatric history, family history, substance use history, social history, developmental history when applicable, current medications, and any relevant life experiences that may influence your mental health.

My goal during the first appointment is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and concerns. I take time to listen carefully, understand your perspective, and identify your strengths, challenges, and goals for treatment.
