Tara McCoy (She/Her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and obtained her degree from the State University of New York at Albany graduate school of social work. Her approach is humanistic and psychodynamic, incorporating the modalities of CBT and DBT.
Sessions are conversational with a focus on reflection.
Tara seeks to cultivate a space where patients can explore what it feels like to be themselves and leave feeling both grounded and intrigued. Tara works with individuals experiencing a variety of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, PTSD, and complex trauma. Tara also presents with experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+ communities and employs a patient-centered approach to care.
