Great to meet you!

Hi my name is Tara Mounts. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Substance Use Disorder Professional. I am passionate about my work and at my core I am a helper. Life is hard, and offering a gentler way to move through difficulties is something we all deserve. This is my aim, to use therapeutic techniques and humanity to navigate life's ever-changing terrain. I am honest with clients while providing compassion and care. Personal growth is not easy. The hope is that with the right support it can be healing, grounding, informative, and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My approach is Rogerian; guiding clients to find answers within themselves without judgment. I utilize Gestalt Therapy looking for balance in life. Attachment theory and contextualism help identify how your past impacts you and how to adjust to meet current goals. Compassion centered care helps reduce guilt and shame by offering space to thrive. Mindfulness and meditation practices offer grounding, clarity, as well as stress reduction.

What you can expect from me

I offer individuals space to tell their story and direct their goals in session. If clients have questions about the therapeutic process I am happy to answer. My goal is to build rapport, trust, and to create a safe space for people to share, process, and grow.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out today.
