Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social worker, having graduated from New York University School of Social Work. I have over ten years of experience working with children to older adults. I became interested in the field of mental health due to my own challenges with anxiety, overwhelm and difficulty with strong emotions. I believe my own experiences help me empathize and connect with my clients!

My approach to therapy

First and foremost, I believe the therapy experience should feel safe and an environment where you feel you are being heard. There is something so special about the therapeutic experience of someone understanding where you're coming from and getting you! I know the importance of that as both a therapist and a client. I also like to incorporate somatic practices such as meditation, basic movement and artistic prompts to help clients get out of their heads and feel more grounded and at ease.

What you can expect from me

I am here as a guide to help you develop confidence in understanding yourself better and listening to your own unique needs. In the first session, we may discuss how you have been feeling and what you would like to work on. Each session after that may look a little different depending on what you are looking for that day. Typically, clients like when I lead a brief meditation and grounding exercise to start the session. Then we may explore anything that came up or something on your mind.
