Great to meet you!

I believe that meaningful change can happen with a series of small adjustments over time, and this is often the healthiest way for people to make progress. Just one small habit, a slight shift in how you see a situation, setting a single boundary for yourself or a little language tweak can make an enormous difference.

I have over 15 years of experience providing individual, family and group therapy in a residential care setting for adolescents who have experienced complex trauma. Over the past decade, I have been fortunate to participate in a culture shift towards trauma-informed treatment, prompting me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in 2021. Witnessing the positive effects this approach has in comparison to traditional talk therapy has been both humbling and inspiring, and I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and skill set to more effectively help others.

If you'd like to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see whether we're a good fit, please choose from one of the available days/times on the right. (Please note that calls will come from a restricted number.)

My approach to therapy

I think it's important for therapy to fit your life. It doesn't have to be a full hour. It doesn't even have to be every week. Can you only squeeze in 30 minutes before your 9-5 or on your lunch break? That works! I can even offer some morning appointments on Saturdays. If you'd like to meet every few weeks, that's fine too! Sometimes it's good to have a little time to reflect and work on your goals between sessions.

I am committed to providing strengths-based, compassionate, trauma-informed care to help people become more self-directed in managing their emotional needs. I believe that sometimes a little humor can make the healing process easier, but only if you are open to this! I am flexible in my treatment approach and welcome collaboration. I will strive to balance going at a pace you are comfortable with while still challenging you to grow and reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

If you're here, that tells me that you want something in your life to be better. My goal is to make your healing process as comfortable as possible. Of course, therapy involves work and self-reflection, and there will probably be some difficult moments. But let's be honest: If it's too scary or overwhelming, you might not stick with it.

My hope is that you will leave our sessions feeling empowered through having learned healthier ways of thinking, coping and relating to others so that there is more peace in your life. I will focus on helping you feel more competent to navigate challenges on your own, be they with setting boundaries, managing anxiety, developing confidence, finding motivation or whatever else brings you to therapy. Although I believe everyone can benefit from therapy, I ultimately want you to be able to depend on yourself more than me!
