I opened my private practice when the pandemic started because I saw the need for BIPOC, LGBT folks and women to have a place to go where they weren't constantly bombarded by microaggressions. I have the training - BA in psych & sociology, UCLA; MA in somatic (body-centered) counseling psychology from Naropa; trauma and social justice. But, I want to create a relaxed environment where you can be yourself and feel understood. That container is what creates the magic. Then we can get to work.

Most of us have a desire to feel alive and to be truly seen. The trick is that we want to be seen with love, not shame or judgment. I work with folks to listen to and understand where they’re coming from, as well as for opportunities to integrate those experiences in and through the body, which can give lasting relief to distressing patterns. I look through the lenses of past experiences that shape our reactions, systems and identities that shape our life and support where you're going.

Therapy is a process, not a one-and-done. However, I hope to establish clear goals from the start so that we know what we're working with and can stay on track with what you want. You're the expert on you; I just have training that can help you understand yourself and move through stuck places. Therapy isn't a bad word anymore; it's a relationship and a vibe. It's coaching to improve your life. Clients who work with me say the things that used to bother them a lot, don't anymore.
