Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Tarra Mandel. I am dual board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. I believe caring for your mental health creates the foundation for lasting balance, resilience, and overall well-being. Reaching out for support is a courageous first step. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and clinical expertise.

My professional background includes extensive experience in outpatient psychiatry and primary care, enabling me to take a holistic approach to treatment. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and life transitions. My treatment approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care, thoughtful medication management, and meaningful therapeutic conversation tailored to your unique goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and supportive, goal-oriented dialogue. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel safe, heard, and empowered to take an active role in your treatment.

For individuals seeking evaluation for attention-related concerns, formal ADHD testing is required before considering stimulant medications, ensuring an accurate diagnosis and safe prescribing.

I also take an evidence-based approach to benzodiazepines and stimulants, prescribing ONLY when clinically indicated and as part of a broader treatment plan. My goal is to provide ethical, collaborative, and tailored care.

What you can expect from me

I provide comprehensive, holistic care to help clients better understand their mental health through thorough evaluation and clear communication education. Clients can expect to leave sessions with a deeper understanding of their diagnosis, insight into how medications can support their goals, and a clear plan for moving forward. I create a supportive environment where questions are always welcome and take the time to explain treatment options so clients feel informed, respected, and actively involved in their care decisions.
