Great to meet you!

My time as a therapist (LCSW) has centered serving BIPOC and other marginalized clients, and I’m passionate about holding space for those navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, identity, and systemic challenges. I’ve worked across diverse settings including community mental health, school- based therapy, outpatient clinics, crisis teams, and complex care teams—supporting children, adolescents, and adults through individual and couples therapy.

I also have spent time as a black (and filipina) mother, woman, friend, sister, daughter, niece, cousin, auntie, farmer, intentional community member, artist, dreamer, yoga instructor, bee keeper, neurodivergent, queer-allied, nondualitstic, nature & reality tv lover, forever learner, look-at-the-moon Taurus sun, Leo Moon, Gemini Rising, loving-blackness-as-political-resistance, awe seeking, liberated, for-the-people, spiritual girlie.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy and trauma informed collaborative practices, blending attuned insight-oriented work through a decolonized lens, with practical tools that strengthen focus, emotional regulation, and self-trust while accessing your strengths, honoring your lived experience, acknowledging the power structures that impact our lives and harnessing your agency to thrive. I strive to create a safe, supportive, culturally attuned and nonjudgmental space where you are met with curiosity, feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore, process and move toward creating the life you want to live.

Our work together will pull from a blend of modalities tailored to your assets and needs, drawing from attachment-based therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), decolonized therapy, nature-based therapy, bibliotherapy, solutions focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness, other psychodynamic theories and your strengths and interests in order to address your needs and goals. I offer virtual telehealth appointments and nature-based/walk-talk in person sessions.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect to share a bit about what brings you into therapy, including any history of symptoms, relevant medical and mental health information, support systems, intersectional identities, strengths, joys, interests and any therapeutic goals or hopes. Feel free and encouraged to ask me questions that will support you to feel at ease in our work together. At a pace that works for our dynamic, we will continue to build rapport and trusting allowing for deeper exploration and processing.
