Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big, vulnerable step, especially if you've felt unheard or unseen in other places, or if asking for help carries stigma or fear in your family or culture. I'm here to be a steady, nonjudgmental support as you work toward the life you want.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist (PsyD) with a specialty in reproductive and perinatal mental health. I work with people through fertility struggles, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent, or with not becoming one when you'd hoped to. I also support clients with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions, particularly when you're carrying scary thoughts, facing unknowns, or feeling stuck and afraid.

My training at Meridian University is grounded in a humanistic approach, with influences from psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In practice, that means I take the time to understand who you are and what's underneath what you're feeling, while also offering practical tools to help you feel better day to day. I'll meet you where you are, at your pace.

I see individuals ages 17 and up, online only, so you can attend sessions from wherever feels comfortable and private. If you're wondering whether we'd be a good fit, I'd be glad to talk it through in a free consultation.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a collaboration. My role is to be the support that helps you move toward your own goals, at a pace that feels safe. Many of the people I work with have felt unheard or unseen in every place they've turned, or they carry real fear about asking for help, whether from cultural stigma, family expectations, or worry about being judged. So the first thing I focus on is creating a space where you can say what's true without having to soften it.

My training is rooted in a humanistic approach, which means I see you as a whole person, not a list of symptoms. I draw on psychoanalytic ideas to explore the patterns and deeper meaning beneath what you're experiencing, and on CBT to give you practical tools for anxiety, difficult thoughts, and getting unstuck. We'll shape the mix around what you need. Some sessions will be about making sense of your story, and others will be about what to do this week.

My specialty is reproductive and perinatal mental health: infertility, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and the shifts in identity that come with them. I also work with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I'm especially glad to work with people who are navigating scary thoughts or unknowns and feel stuck and afraid. You don't have to have it figured out before you begin.

My hope is that you leave our work feeling more understood, more grounded, and more able to move forward on your own terms.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting comfortable and getting clear. There's no pressure to tell your whole story or to have your goals figured out. I'll ask what brought you in and what you're hoping will change, and you can share as much or as little as feels right. If asking for help has felt scary or complicated, we can start there.

I aim to create a warm, unhurried, nonjudgmental space where you don't have to explain or defend yourself. Because I meet with clients online, you can join from wherever you feel most at ease, whether that's your couch, your car on a lunch break, or a quiet corner of your home.

By the end of the session, we'll have a shared sense of what's been weighing on you and what you want from our work. We'll talk through a few initial goals, which might be feeling less overwhelmed, making sense of a loss, working through a difficult season of fertility or parenthood, or simply feeling less stuck. We'll also talk about how we'll work together and what the next few sessions could look like. You'll also have room to ask me anything, including whether I feel like the right fit. Finding the right therapist matters, and I want you to feel good about that choice.

Most people leave that first session feeling a bit lighter, knowing they've been heard and that they have a plan.
