I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008 from Stetson University in DeLand, FL. I am passionate about working with families and individuals struggling with communication and relationship problems that may even stem from their family of origin.
In the counseling relationship I use a strength based approach to help facilitate an environment of hope and healing for each individual. With my approach, I recognize that the person sitting in the counseling room is connected to multiple people who are being impacted by their relationship as well as influencing how the person thinks and feels. I also have over 13 years of experience working with adolescents and their families on communication and a better understanding of each other.
As my client you can expect to feel comfortable, welcomed, validated, and challenged in session. We will establish goals together and set an attainable path toward that goal as I provide "tools for your toolbox" and help you recognize unhealthy patterns in your life that may be holding you back.
