Great to meet you!

Tatiana Michel is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience across a range of mental health settings. Her experience includes working with children and adults on communication issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic underachievement, transitions, personal growth, behavioral issues, as well as self-identity issues. She also work with clients who identify as spiritual or religious.

My approach to therapy

Growing up in a single parent household as the child of Caribbean immigrant parents, Tatiana experienced how issues affecting low income, minority, and underserved populations, often lead to misinformation and stigma regarding accessing mental health services. Stressors stemming from institutionalized racism are often dismissed by the dominant culture. This was the catalyst to her personal commitment to providing culturally informed and responsible mental healthcare services.

What you can expect from me

Working from an anti-oppressive, social justice frame work and intersectional lens, Tatiana's objective is to create a warm and supportive environment. Additionally, she strives to provide spiritual and religous sensitivity/competency to provide her clients with the opportunity to find their own voices in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment. She looks forward to empowering you to rewrite your narrative, thus leading toward feeling more personal fulfillment in your life.
