Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood—not judged. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship and communication challenges, anger, life transitions, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral concerns.

I bring a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. I recognize that every person’s experiences are different, and I take the time to understand your story, strengths, challenges, and goals. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you gain insight, develop healthier ways of coping, and feel more confident navigating the challenges in front of you.

Whether you are struggling with something that has been weighing on you for years or simply need support navigating a difficult season, you do not have to figure it all out alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I incorporate evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with other therapeutic techniques based on your specific needs and goals.

I believe understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships can be a powerful starting point for change. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work toward developing healthier coping skills, communication strategies, emotional regulation, boundaries, and self-confidence.

I also believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems. When appropriate, I like to provide practical tools and strategies that you can use outside of our sessions. At the same time, I recognize that meaningful progress takes time, and I will meet you where you are rather than rushing the process.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a partnership. You bring your experiences and expertise about your life; I bring clinical knowledge, support, and a judgment-free perspective. Together, we work toward the changes that matter to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you have been experiencing, what has been challenging for you, and what you would like to be different.

I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current circumstances, strengths, relationships, coping strategies, and goals. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about me, my approach, and the therapy process.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment, and you do not have to tell me everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together moving forward. Therapy is a process, and we’ll take that process one step at a time.
