Great to meet you!

Tawana Raymond,FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, A Certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience. As a Nurse Practitioner I've worked with veterans and with various population and ethnic backgrounds in the community, urgent and retail care setting. While exploring various mental health settings inpatient, community, and outpatient. I discovered my love for outpatient psychotherapy and medication management. Specializing: Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, PTSD

A bit about my approach to therapy

I offer medication management for mental health. However, I also engage in talk therapy, motivational interviewing therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy (including trauma focused CBT) and somatic therapy. I encourage a good sleep hygiene regimen and self initiated relaxation exercises to build clients coping skills. These are some of the ways I like to help my clients manage their anxiety and depression, PTSD, and Insomnia.

What you can expect from our first session

Taking a wholistic approach to mental health including incorporating/teaching coping skills, incorporating psychotherapy and somatic therapy approach. I love to educate and encourage my clients to take the lead on their health and wellness journey not only for themselves but to set an example for their entire family. My mission is to help clients to overcome illness (mental and physical) that may hold them back from achieving life goals.
