Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Tawanna Frazier-Lumpkins, a Licensed Mental Health and Professional Counselor supporting clients across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. I help people work through past and present trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions that can leave you feeling stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Some clients come in carrying trauma responses, chronic stress, self-doubt, relationship strain, or patterns that no longer feel helpful. My style is warm, steady, and collaborative, and I bring years of experience in behavioral health along with advanced training in trauma and emotional wellness. If you’re looking for a therapist who blends compassion, cultural awareness, and practical support, I’d be honored to walk with you on your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, culturally aware, and grounded in helping you feel safe enough to do meaningful work. I use CBT, Brainspotting, and trauma-informed care to support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and life changes. CBT can help identify and shift negative thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and self-criticism, while Brainspotting can help process trauma, emotional pain, and experiences that may still feel stuck in the body and nervous system. Together, we explore your patterns in a supportive space, build coping tools, strengthen emotional regulation, and help you move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we begin exploring what brings you to therapy and what you hope to change, understand, or heal. Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, or a difficult life transition, I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, current challenges, and goals. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and respected while we begin identifying what healing and progress could look like for you. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and how we can work together moving forward.
