Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed mental health counselor with a caring and empathetic style of practice. I have experience working with clients of all ages but have primarily focused on adolescents. I have significant experience working with LGBTQ identifying clients and clients of color, and approach all client issues with open-mindedness and humility. I am a good fit for those looking for an affirming and insightful ear and a confidential and non-judgmental space to process their troubles and feelings.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have a competent working knowledge of DBT and CBT and CPT techniques for those looking for concrete mental health strategies and tools. The core of my counseling style, however, is person centered, conversational and authentic. I am not typically someone who assigns homework or pushes concrete goals, preferring to let sessions and client issues play out organically in a natural flow free of agendas and stakes.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients can expect a warm and welcoming presence of someone who both cares about their well being and understands the underlying causes of distress and dysfunction. I do not give advice as much as I reflect the inclinations of my client's own judgment and trust in themselves.
