I have been working in the adult inpatient setting for 6 years so far and am looking to expand to outpatient. I was a registered nurse for approximately 7 years prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

I provide a neutral, nonjudgmental space for working together to do problem solving utilizing various therapeutic techniques including medication management and psychotherapy.

As a result of therapy sessions it is hoped that the patient is able to verbalize understanding and utilize coping skills for managing symptoms of anxiety, depression and psychosis drawn from various psychotherapy disciplines including but not limited to CBT and DBT. Medication therapy will also be covered including review of side effects and therapeutic outcomes. Ensuring safety outside of sessions will also be covered.
