Great to meet you!

I’m Taylor Barragan, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) & licensed psychotherapist (LMFT). I started my career as a therapist, gaining extensive expertise before incorporating medication management into my practice. I combine traditional psychiatry, holistic approaches, and brief psychotherapy to treat anxiety, ADHD, depression, & OCD. I earned my NP degree from Case Western Reserve University & MFT degree from Santa Clara University, offering a comprehensive approach to care. **Note: I am not currently offering ongoing psychotherapy or couples therapy. While I do include brief therapy during medication management visits, if a patient requires ongoing psychotherapy, I refer them to other therapists who may better suit their needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is centered on scaffolding support, starting with foundational psychiatry—proper assessment and diagnosis—while also understanding your treatment priorities. I bring creativity to the process, offering evidence-based ideas and approaches to help you explore new ways to feel better. As an LMFT, I’m also skilled at weaving in psychotherapy to help you gain insight into the deeper roots of your symptoms, which we will address together in treatment.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel like they have a true partner in their mental health care. I’m incredibly passionate about this field and my career, and my love of learning naturally translates into my work. I enjoy getting to know you, your unique story, and your goals. You’ll also receive personalized, organic recommendations and resources, tailored specifically for you—no cookie-cutter homework assignments. I’m here to support your journey in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
