Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with Ember & Bone Counseling, LLC. My work centers on helping adults navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions—especially the parts of themselves they’ve been taught to avoid, suppress, or “push through.” I believe healing begins when we stop fighting the darker, heavier emotions and learn how to understand them instead.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and honest. I help clients explore the uncomfortable, shadowed parts of their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy, we focus on making sense of pain, building emotional safety, and finding meaning and strength within the darkness—not bypassing it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about creating safety, grounding, and clarity. There’s no expectation to have the “right words” or share everything at once. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you and what you’re hoping for, and we’ll begin shaping a therapeutic space where all parts of you—especially the hard ones—are allowed to exist.
