Great to meet you!

Thank you so much for being here! :)

As a highly sensitive person who's lived w/chronic mental health conditions since birth, I deeply understand the courage it takes to ask for help. I understand that therapy can be intimidating, so I never take for granted the vulnerability it takes to show up exactly as you are and risk being seen.

While I've been in the field since 2014 and can provide support for a variety of concerns, I tend to work w/individuals and couples (ages 18+) who are looking to recover from trauma/PTSD/acute stress, manage their anxiety or OCD, and/or heal their relationships with themselves and others. I also work with many clients who are hoping to recover a sense of nervous system regulation even as they navigate the systems that contribute to trauma and stress.

My approach to therapy

I take a trauma-focused, anti-oppressive, relational approach to care that feels as personal to me as it is clinical. :) I see our therapeutic relationship as a major resource for healing & change. I approach our work together w/mindful curiosity, openness, empathy, & warmth. I value transparency and tend to "keep it real" so that you may feel empowered to do the same! I remind clients early & often that you are an active co-creator in the therapy process and we go at your pace.

Although I take a holistic approach to care and draw on various modalities based on individual needs, I specialize in EMDR, internal parts/ego states therapy, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and IPT.

What you can expect from me

I have an authentic, direct, and affirming style that incorporates humor, is nonjudgmental, and holds space for inevitable human “messiness" to emerge. Many clients report feeling a sense of relief even after the first session; they reflect that they felt truly heard, “held,” & validated in the process. My clients tend to acknowledge that while they may have faced discomfort or shed tears in our therapy, they also find themselves feeling better, getting "unstuck," & laughing more than expected!
