Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Taylor I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate the many pressures and transitions of growing up. Today’s world can feel intense. Academic stress, social anxiety, identity exploration, relationship struggles, and the constant pressure to perform and “have it all together” can take a real toll on mental health. For student-athletes, the load is often even heavier—balancing school, practices, games, and expectations from coaches, parents, and peers.

In therapy, I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where young people can open up, build confidence, and learn tools to manage stress, emotions, and relationships more effectively. I also work with families to strengthen communication and create a more connected, understanding home environment.

My approach to therapy

I use, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is a goal-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help clients identify and change maladaptive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

As a marriage and family therapist, I focus on improving relationships and addressing emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues within family systems. I utilize a range of approaches, often blending techniques to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families.

What you can expect from me

As a therapist, clients can expect several things from their sessions with me.

Confidentiality: Feeling safe knowing that what is shared in therapy stays private

Non-judgmental Space: Therapy is a place where clients can be open without fear of judgment. I will listen, empathize, and provide support regardless of what is shared.

Active Listening: I listen carefully, validate their feelings, and reflect back, to ensure I understand their concerns.

Empathy and Understanding: I will offer emotional support and strive to understand their perspective, helping them process their emotions and experiences.

Guidance and Tools: Clients can expect to learn coping strategies, new ways of thinking, and problem-solving techniques that can help them manage challenges in their lives.

Personal Growth: Through therapy, clients can expect opportunities for personal development, self-awareness, and emotional healing.

Tailored Approach: Clients can expect that the therapy sessions will be customized to their unique needs, whether that’s through different therapeutic techniques or approaches.

Support Through Challenges: Therapy isn’t always easy; clients should know that I will be there to help them through difficult emotions and situations, offering steady support during tough times.

Overall, clients can expect a professional, empathetic, and supportive relationship designed to help them explore, heal, and grow.
