Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Taylor! I support individuals navigating anxiety, stress, anger management, and substance use with practical tools, compassion, and space to grow. I was born and raised in Kentucky where I graduated with my masters in counseling in 2016. I moved to Texas in 2019, and feel I officially became native when I needed a taco for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am a new mother to an adventurous toddler, and spend my weekends exploring new places with my family.

My approach to therapy

My work with individual children and adolescents includes the importance of self-compassion and mindfulness. Both go hand in hand when beginning the exploration of change and healing. I am a person-centered therapist that focuses on my client’s strengths as well as incorporating evidence-based practices. My clients and I are creative in designing a plan for change. Clients can expect me to be warm, empowering and motivated to accomplish the goals they have. In session, I work with my clients to create a safe and comfortable environment. I admire the bravery it takes to start this journey and treasure the experience. My role can be therapist, educator, or coach. Whatever role is best for you, let’s work together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we begin getting to know one another. We will spend time exploring what brings you to therapy, discussing your current challenges, and identifying the strengths and resources you already have available. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, so our work together will be collaborative and tailored to your unique needs and goals. We will also begin discussing what you hope to gain from therapy and identify a few initial goals to focus on before our next session.

For children and adolescents, the first session may include creative activities designed to help build trust and comfort while learning more about their experiences and goals. My focus is on creating a safe space where children and teens can express themselves openly while developing skills to support emotional well-being and resilience.
