Great to meet you!
Much of my doctoral research was related to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, where I found an interest in working with non-birthing parents (fathers, adoptive parents, LGBTQIA+) to help them navigate the stress of parenthood. The mental health experiences of non-birthing parents are often overlooked but so important to acknowledge and treat. I continue my research in this area and am a member of Postpartum Support International KY chapter, where I am an active member of the community. I hold a Doctorate of Social Work and have experience with child welfare, court involvement, and nurturing parenting courses. I am comfortable working with individuals who struggle with intrusive thoughts, suicidal ideations, and substance use.
