Great to meet you!

If you're trying to find your way through addiction, or carrying anxiety, depression, or trauma that's made it hard to move forward, you've probably wondered whether things can actually change. I've spent years working with people in exactly that place — including as the director of a substance use treatment facility. That experience shapes how I work: I know recovery isn't linear, and I know what it looks like when someone finally starts to feel like themselves again. We'll go at a pace that makes sense for your life, focused on what actually matters to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is strengths-based and recovery-focused, which means we start from where you are — not where you think you should be. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and the Stages of Change model, tools that help you identify patterns, build on what's already working, and take steps that feel realistic given your actual life. Whether you're navigating early recovery, working through past trauma, or just trying to feel steadier, the goal is progress you can actually feel.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly a conversation. I'll ask about what's been most difficult, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and what's felt like it's been in the way. You don't need to have a clear answer to any of that before we start. Most people leave feeling like they've been genuinely heard, with a clearer sense of what our work together will look like. If you're nervous about coming in, that's completely normal — we'll start wherever you are.
