Great to meet you!
Hello, and welcome. My name is Taylor Young, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
My professional background includes extensive experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress management, grief and loss, and challenges related to housing instability and other social stressors. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations across community-based, behavioral health, and social service settings, helping individuals overcome barriers and develop healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I hold graduate degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Psychology and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology. My approach to counseling is grounded in evidence-based practices while recognizing the unique experiences, strengths, and goals each client brings to therapy. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, strengths-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused interventions to tailor treatment to each individual's needs.
