Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Taylor Zimmerman and I’m a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overwhelming. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and comfortable space where you—or your child—can feel heard, understood, and supported. I work with individuals of all ages and have a special passion for working with children and adolescents as they navigate the many challenges that come with growing up. I support clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, behavioral concerns, ADHD, school-related struggles, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person has strengths within them, and therapy can help uncover those strengths and build the skills needed to move forward with confidence. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative, incorporating evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual clients needs.

Growing up can be hard—and sometimes kids and teens need a safe place to talk, be understood, and learn that they are capable of more than they realize. I bring a laid-back, positive, and genuine personality to therapy and believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth!

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll spend some time gathering information about your background, current concerns, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

You can expect the first session to involve quite a bit of information gathering, but it’s also a chance for you to get a feel for my approach and for us to begin establishing a comfortable, collaborative therapeutic relationship. You’re welcome to ask questions, share what you need from therapy, and let me know what would help you feel supported.
