Great to meet you!

I'm Tazzarae Mooring, LPC, and I offer a warm, affirming space for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I work with a diverse caseload, including LGBTQIA+ clients and women finding their footing through life's harder chapters. If you're ready for a therapist who meets you as you are, I'd love to connect.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, practical tools for untangling anxious or depressive thought patterns and working through trauma at a pace that feels safe. Sessions are collaborative: we name what's showing up, whether that's anxiety, stress, grief, or strain in a relationship, and build concrete skills you can use between appointments. I bring a culturally attuned, LGBTQIA+ affirming lens to every session, because your identity and lived experience shape the work. Clients often come in feeling stuck or overwhelmed and leave with language for what they're carrying and a clearer sense of what to do next.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting oriented, not diving into everything at once. We'll talk through what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what support should look like for you. From there, we build a plan grounded in CBT and trauma-informed care, adjusted as we learn what actually helps. You can expect a space that's direct, warm, and judgment-free, where your pace and your identity are respected from the first conversation.
