Great to meet you!

I have been a practicing therapist for 32 years across many treatment/therapy settings and believe that engaging patients and helping them achieve their full potential in whatever area(s) of their lives that are causing dis-ease, stress, anxiety and/or depression. "Good" therapists create an environment in which patients feel safe, heard, understood, respected

My approach to therapy

I strongly feel that the therapist/patient relationship is one of shared effort and accountability. Successful therapy is a mutual commitment to develop and attain goals that assist patients in achieving, returning to or creating a quality of life that is fulfilling and enjoyable. I understand and respect how difficult it is to reach out and ask for help. By exploring the possible therapy and provider options you have taken the most difficult step.

What you can expect from me

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
