Hello! I am Temeaka Hamm, a Licensed therapist in the state of Alabama. I have been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. I enjoy what I do and have a passion for assisting others discover or rediscover who they are and where they want to be on this journey call LIFE.
I am a graduate of Alabama A&M University. I received my Masters in counseling psychology in 2001. I have a background in community mental health, residential care and private/group/outpatient care.
I have many years of expereince working with individuals with depression, anxiety, stress management, Behavioral issues, codependency, family conflict, self esteem, sexual abuse, interpersonal relationships, women related issues and substance abuse.
I find that Cognitive Behavioral therapy has been the most effective treatment approach when working with clients. I also have experience in Dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focus treatment approaches.
My goal is to establish rapport that creates a safe, trustworthy, laid back and comfortable atmosphere for my clients.
