Great to meet you!

I’m a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience across acute care, community health, addiction medicine, primary care, and behavioral health settings. My goal is to provide compassionate, respectful, and culturally responsive care where clients feel safe, heard, and supported throughout their mental health journey.

I have experience supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, sleep concerns, trauma-related conditions, addiction, and other complex psychiatric and behavioral health challenges. I’m especially passionate about improving access to quality mental health care for underserved and vulnerable communities.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, patient-centered, and evidence-based. I believe effective mental health treatment starts with building trust and understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. I combine medication management with supportive therapy, education, and practical coping strategies to help clients achieve long-term emotional wellness and stability.

Because of my background in both family medicine and psychiatry, I also understand the strong connection between physical and mental health. I take time to look at the bigger picture, including stress, sleep, medical conditions, lifestyle habits, and environmental factors that may be affecting emotional well-being. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, informed, and actively involved in their care every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where they can openly discuss their concerns, symptoms, history, and goals for treatment. I take time to get to know each client as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. Together, we’ll review emotional, medical, and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to current challenges.

The initial visit typically includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discussion of treatment options, and development of a personalized care plan that may include therapy recommendations, medication management, coping tools, and wellness strategies. My priority is to ensure clients leave the session feeling understood, supported, and hopeful about their path forward.
