Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Terence Dexter, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, stress, and other mental health concerns. My approach is warm, supportive, and focused on helping you feel heard and understood. I combine medication management and psychotherapy to create personalized treatment plans that support lasting growth and emotional wellness. My goal is to help you build the tools and confidence needed to live a healthier, more balanced life.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care works best when it feels like a partnership. My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused, creating a safe space where clients can openly discuss their concerns without fear of judgment. I take time to understand your unique experiences and goals before developing a personalized treatment plan. Together, we'll focus on practical strategies, symptom relief, and long-term emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to treatment. I'll ask questions about your symptoms, history, goals, and any challenges you're facing so I can better understand your needs. Together, we'll begin creating a plan that may include medication management, therapy, coping skills, or other supportive strategies. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your path forward.
