Teresa Ducker

My name is Terri Ducker and I have been working as a Licensed Therapist for over 19 years after getting my degree in Humanistic Psychology. Historically I have worked in a Substance Abuse Treatment Center, A Residential Facility for troubled youth and for the past 10 years have worked with College students. I love working with students and am best with adults who feel stuck, have a history of trauma and are ready to make a change in their life.

I believe most people have a sense of what is wrong with them, but it is my belief that they need help discovering what is right with them, and that journey is worth taking. I am eclectic in my approach because everybody is different, but I am drawn towards Internal Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with some other stuff mixed in.

When we meet, you will discover I use a lot of humor, curiosity and can sometimes be direct when needed. I love helping people heal and empower them to make the changes they need to live a life consistent with who they are. You can expect to laugh, cry, and experience your emotions in a safe space. You may get some homework. And at the end of our time together, you should have more clarity about navigating the hard stuff so you can feel joy and peace.
