Great to meet you!

I have been working in the counseling field since 2007, with experience supporting children, adults, and families across foster care, outpatient hospital programs, PHP/IOP treatment, and individual counseling. I spent 9 years working with children and adults in foster care and have spent the past 10.5 years supporting adults ages 18+ in outpatient hospital settings and individual therapy. I work with clients navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many of the people I support feel stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or unsure how to manage symptoms that have been affecting their daily life. My goal is to provide a safe, grounded, and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped to begin creating meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, collaborative, and person-centered, which means I tailor therapy to your unique needs, goals, strengths, and experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and EMDR-informed work, as I am EMDR trained. In session, we may work on identifying thought patterns that fuel anxiety or depression, building coping skills for panic and emotional regulation, processing trauma safely, strengthening distress tolerance, improving self-awareness, and creating practical strategies for daily life. My style is compassionate, flexible, honest, and supportive. I believe therapy should help you better understand what you are experiencing while also giving you tools to build stability, resilience, and long-term growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and beginning to understand what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, your history, your strengths, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, stress, or a major life transition, we will begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My priority is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel respected, understood, and involved in your care. Together, we will begin building a treatment direction that fits your needs and helps you take steady steps toward healing and stability.
