Great to meet you!

I have been a social worker practicing psychotherapy for 25 years. I have enjoyed working with a variety of people with many different experiences, both in clinic settings and in private practice. For the past 10 years I have been the director of an outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic. I enjoy helping people work through past trauma and find a way forward. I believe that therapy can benefit anyone who is curious about themselves and wants to improve their lives.

My approach to therapy

I utilize an eclectic approach to treatment, encompassing relational, psychodynamic, and behavioral interventions, tailored to the needs of each specific patient. I try to meet patients where they are at, allowing them to set the pace of treatment according to their comfort levels.

I seek to establish a caring and collaborative relationship with all clients, as I see the therapeutic relationship to be the most important vehicle to facilitating positive change and growth.

What you can expect from me

I strive to help my patients feel comfortable sharing anything without fear of being judged. I hope they leave sessions feeling seen, validated, and cared about. I hope they leave with a better understanding of themselves, their needs, and their worth, and that they feel hopeful about improving their lives in whatever ways they desire.
