Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatry. My background includes working across a range of clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care environments, where I have treated diverse populations with complex mental health needs. I hold a DEA license and am committed to providing safe, evidence-based care tailored to each individual.

My clinical experience includes the management of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, neurocognitive disorders, and behavioral disturbances associated with medical conditions. I focus on delivering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapeutic interventions. My goal is to provide care that is both clinically effective and grounded in compassion, respect, and professionalism.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance by actively listening, validating concerns, and involving clients in treatment decisions. I believe that effective psychiatric care requires an individualized plan that considers biological, psychological, and social factors.

I utilize a combination of medication management and supportive psychotherapy, with an emphasis on symptom stabilization, functional improvement, and overall quality of life. I focus on clear communication, realistic goal setting, and ongoing assessment to ensure that treatment remains appropriate and effective. My style is structured yet empathetic, ensuring that clients feel heard while also maintaining clinical direction and progress.

What you can expect from me

During the initial session, clients can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation in a structured, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment. I will gather detailed information about current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, and psychosocial factors to develop a clear understanding of your needs.

The first session is also an opportunity to establish rapport and begin outlining a treatment plan. This may include discussing diagnostic impressions, reviewing potential medication options if indicated, and setting initial treatment goals. Clients can expect transparency, professionalism, and a focus on creating a plan that supports both symptom relief and long-term stability.

My goal is for you to leave the first session with a clearer understanding of your condition, a defined direction for treatment, and confidence in the care you are receiving.
