Teresa Sims Lawson

Hello, I have experience working with adolescents and adults with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, and more, in outpatient and inpatient settings. My mission is to provide you with a safe and non judgmental environment, that empowers your ability to attain and reach your treatment plan goals. I have experienced trauma and infant loss which has driven me to be relatable, competent, and an empathetic therapist.

I strive to provide goal-directed, competent, and strength based services that promote social-emotional development, decrease mental health challenges, and address social-emotional problems that currently exist. I specialize in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Also, I incorporate solution focused therapy, person centered therapy, and holistic practices.

During our initial sessions, we will be discussing the presenting issues, creating a treatment plan, and building a therapeutic rapport. I focus on optimizing your strengths to create confidence, self awareness, and social engagement.
