Great to meet you!

I have been married for 31 years and have two grown daughters. I was a special education teacher and a school counselor before I became a licensed professional counselor. I believe that we all want to be needed, loved and respected. Sometimes our past can get in the way of us becoming the best version of ourselves. I like to collaborate with my clients on their goals and obstacles to create a plan for a better tomorrow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is based on the premise that empathy, trust and collaboration between client and therapist are a must for positive change to occur. We all need a purpose and to feel worthy. We will work as a team to help develop effective skills to live a more healthy and peaceful life.

What you can expect from me

My experience has shown me that many times we need someone else to help motivate us, believe in our abilities and even challenge our beliefs and thoughts about ourselves. To grow and function at our highest level, a trusted person can facilitate this change. A therapist can serve as a model, facilitator, and role model to lead us to a more meaningful happy life.

During our sessions we will work together to find out which parts of life are a struggle and develop goals within these areas.
