Great to meet you!

I care about my clients and seek to help them achieve their goals. I try to be understanding and supportive while encouraging them to do what is necessary to be successful. I am not judgmental, that is not my job. I will be honest with you in a caring way. I also pray for my clients and for help in guiding them. I try to meet my client where they are and determine the best therapeutic modality for them.

My approach to therapy

My approach depends on the situation and the client's needs. Some clients need encouragement to move forward at a slower or faster pace. Some need to learn coping skills to deal with their situations. I give them the opportunity to tell me their story and what they want from counseling. I may give the skills to practice between sessions to see what fits them the best. Communication between me and a client needs to be honest. I work to earn their trust as this is important for any relationship.

What you can expect from me

My desire is for clients to take away a feeling of hope and trust. I also want them to have tools to help them.
