Great to meet you!

It’s great to meet you! I’m Teri Perkins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through a variety of life challenges. I hold degrees in Social Work and Early Childhood Education and am licensed in Florida and Texas. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, mood concerns, caregiver stress, relationship challenges, and substance use recovery. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian faith-integrated counseling that honors your beliefs and spiritual values.

My approach to therapy

I believe everyone has a unique story and deserves an approach to therapy that fits who they are and what they need. My style is warm, supportive, person-centered, and trauma-informed, and I see therapy as a partnership between us. I’ll listen without judgment, help you recognize your strengths, and gently challenge you when it can support your growth. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard and respected while working toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for you to share your story, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to accomplish. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll work together to identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being open and vulnerable. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, understood, and confident that we have a plan for moving forward together.
