Great to meet you!

Meet Teri Roessler-Kennedy, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Hello, and welcome. I am Teri Roessler-Kennedy, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.

I began my nursing career over 10 years ago as a Registered Nurse, working in a variety of specialties including neonatal, emergency, correctional, geriatric, and nursing education. I earned my nursing degree from North Florida Community College and later received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing administration from Thomas University. In 2019, I completed my Family Nurse Practitioner training at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, and became certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Recognizing the growing need for mental health services in rural communities, I returned to school to further my education and became an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in February 2024.

My goal is to provide personalized care that helps patients improve their mental health, overall well-being, and quality of life. I treat adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health conditions, including:

  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders

I am committed to creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their treatment journey.

Currently accepting new psychiatric patients in Live Oak, Madison, Lake City, Jasper, and Surrounding areas in Florida.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective mental health treatment starts with building a trusting, supportive relationship. My approach is direct, compassionate, and determined. I provide honest feedback and practical guidance while ensuring my patients feel heard, respected, and understood.

I work collaboratively with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs, challenges, and goals. Whether you are struggling with symptoms that are impacting your daily life or seeking long-term mental wellness, I am committed to helping you find effective solutions and achieve meaningful progress.

My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and empowered to take an active role in their care.

I understand that seeking mental health treatment can be difficult, and I am dedicated to providing evidence-based care that supports healing, resilience, and improved quality of life. Together, we will work toward practical, achievable goals that help you become the healthiest version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns openly and honestly.

During this visit, we will review your mental health history, current symptoms, medical background, and treatment goals. I take time to listen carefully to your experiences so I can gain a thorough understanding of your needs and develop an individualized treatment plan.

My style is direct, compassionate, and solution-focused. I believe in having honest conversations while providing encouragement, support, and practical strategies for improvement. Together, we will identify challenges, establish realistic goals, and discuss treatment options that may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, and other evidence-based interventions.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and the next steps in your care. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
