Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Terisa Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel understood, accepted, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, processing past trauma, managing ADHD, working through relationship difficulties, or adjusting to grief and loss, I understand that these experiences can affect how you see yourself, connect with others, and move through daily life. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about your next steps, and you don’t have to navigate those feelings alone. My goal is to help you rediscover your resilience, recognize your strengths, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself in an environment that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. With a warm, energetic, and collaborative approach, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in creating a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empowering, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins when you feel safe enough to show up as your authentic self. Together, we’ll explore how anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, and women's issues may be affecting your emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of self while identifying ways to help you feel more confident and connected. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize patterns in your thoughts and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges, while mindfulness-based approaches can help you become more aware of your emotions and feel more grounded in the present. When working through trauma, we can focus on building a sense of safety, understanding how past experiences continue to affect you, and developing coping strategies that support healing. For ADHD and related challenges, we can explore practical strategies to support emotional regulation, organization, and everyday functioning. Our work will be tailored to your individual needs, with space to explore your experiences, strengthen your resilience, and build on the qualities that make you who you are. You won't be expected to fit into a predetermined version of therapy; we'll work together to find an approach that feels meaningful and supportive to you.

What you can expect from me

Your story deserves to be heard, and your healing deserves a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. We'll work together to identify goals that reflect your needs, values, and priorities rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. As we continue, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free environment where your experiences are respected and your voice matters. We'll explore challenges at a pace that feels right for you, build practical tools for navigating difficult emotions, and identify ways to strengthen your relationships and sense of self. Whether you're working through past experiences, managing everyday stress, or trying to better understand your thoughts and behaviors, my goal is to help you feel supported throughout the process. Healing looks different for everyone, and we'll make room for both the difficult moments and the progress you make along the way. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more empowered, confident, and connected to the life you want to create.
