Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy can be a big step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where you can be yourself and feel heard without judgment. I believe each person has unique strengths, experiences, and abilities to navigate challenges, and I value building a genuine connection that allows you to feel comfortable being open and honest. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you recognize your strengths, and support you as you work toward the changes that matter most to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you explore challenges, recognize patterns, and develop tools that fit your individual needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Gestalt approaches. Depending on your needs and goals, we may explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, communication, motivation, boundaries, self-esteem, or difficult life transitions. Therapy may involve developing practical coping strategies, gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthening relationships, or building confidence as you navigate change. We will work together to identify what is most important to you and find meaningful, realistic steps toward progress.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying what you hope to gain from the experience. You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. We will take time to explore your concerns, discuss your goals, and identify what feels most important to you right now.

My hope is that you leave feeling heard, respected, and comfortable taking the next step. Therapy is a process, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can begin making sense of what you are experiencing and explore practical ways to move forward. You don't have to figure everything out on your own; sometimes, the first step is simply starting the conversation.
