Great to meet you!

I am an open minded, nonjudgmental person who has the philosophy that problems aren't who we are, they are just things that we have. I began my journey in counseling in 2009 at Amarillo College where I received an Associate degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, I then moved to Missouri and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Missouri University of Science and Technology and then competed my academic Studies with a Masters in Counseling from Webster University.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is eclectic in that I am formally trained in several therapeutic theories such as Acceptance and Commitment, Reality, and Dialectical Behavioral to name a few. I am also an avid student of different philosophies such as Stoicism and Buddhism, and I bring thoughts and ideas from these into my therapeutic style.

What you can expect from me

My first sessions are usually low key. This session is a time for us to get to know each other and decide if we are a good fit to work together on the problems in life that have brought us together. I also try to get a sense of what concerns you have and begin laying out a road map of what you would like to get out of therapy as well as how I can assist you.
