Great to meet you!

In 2018, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my Master's degree in social work. I worked alongside people experiencing homelessness to obtain my clinical hours, and eventually became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I currently hold my LCSW in Colorado, and reside in Brooklyn, New York, where I visit with Colorado individuals virtually! I am a white, pansexual, queer, married woman. I have 2 cats, and just recently said goodbye to a soul cat I will forever miss. I love spending time outside and traveling, am an avid music enthusiast, find myself doing tarot and journaling often, and am curious and passionate about experiencing life in new and familiar ways with the people I love! I live with my own chronic mental health issues and neurodivergence, and will be the first to say I don't have it all figured out. Life can be unpleasant, and mine can look pretty chaotic at times. But I know how important it is to not feel stuck without a way out, to have some sense of direction and purpose, and to feel like the endless questions about ourselves and life is a weight that can be shared (and sometimes even defined). As humans, we have the right to explore what that means for us individually, and within our communities.

My approach to therapy

How would you define what feels troubling to you? I want to create a space for us to compassionately and realistically explore this. How do you find aliveness and fulfillment within yourself and your life? What does being human mean to you, individually and collectively? I want to create a space where the fullness of who you are is witnessed and understood.

What you can expect from me

Therapy at its core is a relational experience, and this is what I prioritize in my work. I might be a good fit for you if you're looking for someone to build and grow a long-term relationship with! I don't operate as a blank slate, and will actively collaborate with you to determine where our attention needs to be and what approaches might work best. I aim to shape a space together that feels supportive, safe, expansive, and open to balancing seriousness and humor.

My door is open to all identities and experiences! I want us to be curious about the systems and norms surrounding us and living within us, and challenge these as needed (including the mental health system). How can we break apart expectations or ideals of self or wellness, detach from the desire to "fix" or "perfect", and find our humanity underneath the weight of everything we are bombarded with? You are not alone, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
