Great to meet you!

Welcome to my therapy practice! I am Tess Stoops, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who has been in the field for over 8 years with a passion for helping individuals, couples and families navigate the challenges of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, anxiety, and OCD. The goal of myself and Luna (my canine co-therapist) is to create a safe and supportive space where healing can take place, and individuals and families can thrive.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in working with teens and adults who have experienced trauma, helping them to process their experiences, build resilience, and reclaim their lives using EMDR. I also specialize in treating people who struggle with anxiety – whether that looks like constant analyzing and thinking, struggling with fear or difficulty facing certain situations, or the trying symptoms of OCD.

What you can expect from our first session

Our work together is to empower you to move beyond the pain of the past and embrace a brighter future. I have tools and interventions that can release triggers, stress and anxieties at each session to move you towards the life you want to life.
