Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Tessa. I'm a mom of three and an LCSW. I studied child & family development in college in Missouri, then earned a master of social work (MSW) in Denver.

My passion is to help parents and their infants/toddlers create strong, healthy relationships full of delight, focused on the wellbeing of baby AND parents.

I use the long-established theory of attachment to help parents sort through all the noise and tap into your own intuition, goals, and needs. Your needs matter too!

A bit about my approach to therapy

Difficult pregnancies, unexpected birth experiences, relationships with our childhood caregivers, postpartum mood disorders, and changing relationships with our spouse, family, and friends... All of these factors influence how we show up with our infants and toddlers.

I am honored to support parents of any gender and families of any composition and journey. I work with parents - expectant (through any means), postpartum, and those raising babies and toddlers - who are experiencing depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship challenges, trouble with bonding/connection, guilt, shame, or doubt as they transition into their parenting role, as well as those who want to parent differently than they were raised. First-time, second-time, fifth-time, adoptive-, fertility-assisted, same-sex, single-, bottle-feeding, breastfeeding, NICU parents are all welcome here.

What you can expect from our first session

I use a strength-based, solution-focused approach, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), all in the context of early relational health and attachment theory. I hope to help you feel confident in your relationship with your child and other important people in your life in a way that feels authentic to who you are as a person.
