Great to meet you!

Family tension and old hurt have a way of settling into the body long after the moment that caused them has passed. I work with teens, adults, and seniors who are carrying depression, trauma, or strain in their closest relationships, and who are ready to look at it directly instead of around it. My own background spans substance use counseling and work with every age group, so whether you are a parent trying to repair something with your child or an individual untangling an old wound on your own, I have likely sat with something close to it before. I work with people across the full range of life stages, which means the support I offer can grow and change as your life does.

My approach to therapy

Together we focus on finding real balance, not just managing symptoms day to day. You can expect to leave our work with a clearer sense of what is actually going on underneath the stress, and practical ways to handle conflict, grief, or old patterns when they resurface. I go deep on family relationships and trauma in particular, since so much of what brings people in starts there, whether that is a strained bond with a partner or child or something further back that still shapes how you move through the world now. I work well with people who want a steady, collaborative partner rather than someone who tells them what to do, and who are open to looking honestly at both the hard parts and the progress.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation. I will ask what brought you in, listen to what you hope changes, and give you a clear sense of how I would approach working with you, no pressure to commit to anything beyond that first hour. If any of this sounds like where you are right now, I would be glad to talk with you and see if we are a good fit.
